How to chose a correct wig size for me?

Many customers are confused by different cap sizes, and they worry about choosing a unfit cap size.  If the size is bigger than your head, the hair on both sides cannot fit your scalp, it will look bumpy and unnatural. On the other hand, if the size is too small, the wig will not be able to cover your hairline and will easily slide outwards. If you are concerned about the same problem, this is the essay you need to read.

This essay is to show you how to measure your cap size so that you can choose the correct size with wig sizes chart. And there are some tips if the wig is big for you.

If you want to measure your head, you gonna need a soft tape measure below:

Before you measure your head, please braid or wrap your hair, just like the preparation when you are going to wear a wig. If you have a bald cap, you can wear it. It will make the measuremens more accurate.

Bascially, you need to measure 6 numbers:

1.  Circumference:  Measure the perimeter of your head, following your edges of the front hairline and back nape, passing through the ears.

2.  Front and Nape: Measure the length from the front to the back. Starting from the center of your forehead where your hairline is to the nape of the neck where your hairline ends. (If you don’t have hairs in the front, you can start where your natural hairline would be )

3. Ear to Ear Across Front Hairline: Measure the length from the top of one ear to the top of the other ear cross the forehead.

4. Ear to Ear Over Top: Measure the length from the top of one ear through the top of the head to the top of the other ear.

5. Temple to Temple Around Back: Measure the length from one temple across the back of your head (at most curved part of your head) to your other temple.

6. Nape of Neck: Measure the length from one side of your nape to the other side of you nape.

After measuring your head, you can choose the cap size according to your measurements. Some customer might find that your measurements might not fit all figures of standard cap size in the cap size chart. Don’t worry, you can only check the 3 important numbers: Circumference, Front and Nape, and Temple to Temple Around Back.

What if the cap size is too big for my head?

First of all, If the cap size doesn’t fit your head, as long as the wig is intact, uncut, uncolored, you can contact our customer service to do an exchange, OR ask the customer service if there is a way you don’t know to adjust the cap size.
If your wig was altered, can’t be returned, you can try the following methods to fix the cap yourself.

1. All glueless wigs have adjustsable straps in the back. You can tighten the straps to make the cap size small.

2. You can sew a elastic band inside the cap. The elastic band can help you to secure the wig and tighten the cap size. Here’s a video to show how to apply a elastic band to your wig.

3. Fold the lace/stretch in the large part.
If your hair is a full lace wig, you can just fold the laces in where you think it is big. Then stitching the folded lace.
If there is a wefts in the back, and wefts are separately sew in arrows, you can remove one or two arrows of wefts and fold the stretch part, sew the folded stretch part. (Please ask the sellers if the wefts are connected ), if you are not good at stitching, you can take it to a babershop OR contact the seller if they can fix it for you.
